Welcome to Asmus Farm Supply’s satellite location at Manly, IA. This location is independently owned and operated by Jeff Leerar and is located 1.75 miles east of Manly on Hwy 9.
Jeff’s location sells Asmus Farm Supply products along with Pioneer Hi-Bred Seed products. Jeff has been a Pioneer Pro Rep in the Manly area and has been affiliated with Asmus Farm Supply in selling our products for much of that time. Jeff has many years of experience in seed and chemical sales and can be counted on for solid agronomic information for our customers in his area.
Jeff holds a bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural studies from Iowa State University and is a Certified Crop Advisor. He grew up near the town of Crystal Lake, IA on a family farm, and now operates his own farming operation near Hanlontown, IA. Jeff has been affiliated with AFS for 12 years. He enjoys working with, and helping customers improve their farming operations.
Jeff enjoys having his own farming operation to try out different chemical, and fertilizer applications before he recommends them to customers. The Ag industry is very dynamic, and the changes that are happening, are very exciting. He feels fortunate to work with a company like AFS, to bring the knowledge, and applications of these to the customers of the Manly area.
Jeff’s married to his wife Jennifer. Together they have two step children Jadyn (20), Jace (18).
Along with Jessa (3 ½), and Josh who is 2.
Jason joined the AFS team as a sales agronomist in August of 2010 for the Manly location. Jason earned an AA degree in Ag Operations & Management from North Iowa Area Community
College after graduating High School in 1994. Jason has had a passion for agriculture all his life, and has always been involved in that field. Previous to his employment with AFS, Jason worked for 10 years at the local COOP. Along with his duties for AFS, Jason is also an Associate Seller of Pioneer Brand Seed, with Jeff Leerar at the same location.
Jason lives on a century farm south of Grafton with his wife Jody, and two children. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and boating in the summer months.
